The husky is of my son's dog Alde...Thanks LBC. The husky is of my son's dog Alder who had to be put down a couple years ago. He was 12 and his hips had given up on him. His dad was Rottweiler/German Shepherd and his mom was husky wolf. He weighed in at 135 lbs. I took care of him for 8 1/2 years while my son traveled with his job. I made rice bags several years ago and can't live without mine in the winter--warms my toes when they are cold, eases my knees when they ache, and helps my neck feel better when it gets too cramped from hand stitching. It works pretty good for cooling too if you keep one in the freezer--a very handy project--your hubby will love his! I was worried about heating it in the microwave, but so far so good!
