Yosemite Here We Come

Well, our time here at the Park of the Sierras in Coarsegold, CA comes to an end today and we head over to Yosemite Lakes RV Park outside the west gate of Yosemite National Park.  We haven't stayed there before so it will be a new experience.  Also, my husband has never been to Yosemite so he gets to enjoy two new experiences.  Below is a picture I took at the park which won a photo contest there and is hanging on a wall in the clubhouse.  It is a beautiful place for sure.

We spent most of our time catching up with friends, eating out at our favorite places, and enjoying a delicious Memorial Day brunch eating, among other goodies, omelets in a bag.  Have you ever had them?  If not, you can find out how to make them here

I did finish my Gadget Girl's Tool Kit by learning how to make bias binding from a Craftsy tutorial.  Just click here for that tutorial.  It's all ready to fill up and use.

One of my favorite things to do while we "lived" at Park of the Sierras was to meet up with the quilting group every Tuesday while we were in the park.  And yesterday was Tuesday so I got to enjoy the company of some wonderful women while doing what I love most, quilting.

It was during this time that I made the binding I mentioned above and also cut a lot of strips for another Quilts of Valor quilt.  Another new learning experience was to add mitered corner borders to some blocks for that quilt.  Yep, another Craftsy tutorial that can be found my clicking here

Today I'm linking up with Let's Bee Social over at Sew Fresh Quilts.  I hope you'll join me over there.

Happy Stitching,

    1. Thanks Tish. I bought the flowered fabric at a little quilt shop in Libby, MT on our way to Glacier National Park. It has since closed which is really sad as it was a great shop. I do meet quilters along the way. It is amazing how many quilters are out there traveling and sewing as they go.
