This is my first time joining a link party so I hope I'm doing it right. If not, please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Be sure to visit Connie at Freemotion by the River.
I have been working to get this finished before leaving Idaho Friday and heading to Yellowstone for a few days of rest and relaxation after working since April as Campground Managers at a campground on Lake Pend Orielle (pronounced Pond a Ray). I'm hoping to finish these last few blocks today and get them sewn together by Thursday. I'm making it out of men's shirts that I acquired at thrift stores since last summer. It will be gifted to my Grandson, Cole, who lives in Colorado and is an avid snowboarder. The pattern is by Bonnie Hunter and is called Scrappy Mountain Majesties.
I visited a favorite quilt shop in Clark Fork yesterday to take some scrap batting for the local guild to use for dog beds which will be given to the animal shelter. I also had to say goodbye to Pam who was a great inspiration to me over the summer and provided me with lots of ideas and help. While there I saw this pattern and had to get it. One of my many future projects is to make some banners to hang out when we settle down. This one will be for one of the fall months, which are my favorite. Bloomin' Minds out of Council Bluffs, IA has some wonderful patterns so be sure to check them out.
