"Can I get a Whoop Whoop", I sure hope so as I'm linking up with Sarah over at Confessions of a Fabric Addict today.

I actually have two Whoop, Whoops.  The first is that I've finished my "Hangin' with the Boys" banner that will be hung outside under our awning.  I'm just waiting for my husband to finish the driftwood that I'll be hanging it from.  I'm not a patient person and I asked him about doing this many days ago.

My second Whoop, Whoop is that I finially got the back to my grandson's quilt finished.  Not sure what I was thinking when I decided to piece the back.  Now, I need to iron the front and the back, get it sandwiched together with some batting I bought while in Colorado, and quilting then it'll be ready for the mail.  So I guess I'll get another Whoop, Whoop when it is totally done.

Here is a picture of the front if you haven't seen it yet.

I've still got to figure out a better way to measure my scant 1/4' seems on my flying geese which is my task for the day.  Of course that is after grocery shopping and doctor's appointment.

  1. Your scrappy mountains look great! Hope to have mine finished soon, but I won't be piecing the back. That's a lot of work!

  2. Shew, that's a lot of piecing for a back! But it makes for a lovely double sided quilt, which is double the fun! :) And your little scarecrow is adorable, he'll look lovely hanging up.

    1. Many thanks LBC. I really enjoyed doing a smaller project (Scarecrow) between piecing the back. Now I need to get busy and iron the front and back and get it laid out and pinned so I can get it quilted. Not sure how I'm going to quilt it, but been thinking about it, but nothing speaks to me yet. Guess I'll go through some of my FMQ books.

  3. Your quilt back (and front) are beautiful. The finished quilt is going to truly be two sided.

    1. Thank you Cheryl. I had fun doing both front and back. Now to get it quilted so I can get it in the mail to my Grandson. I showed the front to him while I was in Colorado and he loved it.

  4. How awesome that your grandson will be able to use both sides, depending upon mood! You really did an amazing job on the piecing on both sides! Love the scarecrow, too!
